2016/2018 Dean's Profile

Prof. Noah Bisi OyedejiProf. Noah Bisi Oyedeji is a dedicated teacher.  He received his secondary education at Government College Bida and proceeded to the then National Technical Teachers College now Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.  Upon the completion of his National Certificate in Education (NCE) he proceeded to serve the nation in the then Gongola State and was posted to Federal College of Education, Jimeta, Yola, Gongola State.

            After his National Youth Service he worked with the Kwara State Schools Board and he was posted to Ilorin Grammar school where he worked for two years from where he proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education.  On completing this course Prof, Noah Bisi took up appointment as Graduate Assistant in the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business and Social Science, University of Ilorin, Ilorin as a foundation Lecturer.

            By 1983 he had completed his Master Degree in Educational Management, University of Ilorin, Ilorin.  In 1985, he transferred to the Department of Educational Management, Faculty of Education of the same University.

            In 1989, Professor Noah Bisi bagged his Doctorate Degree in Educational Management, University of Ilorin, Ilorin.

            In the year 2009 he rose through the rank and file in University of Ilorin from Graduate Assistant to the position of Professor Educational Management. 

            Professor Noah Bisi is a member of professional associations such as Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), Nigerian Institute Management (NIM), Nigerian Association of Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM), Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (IPM), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Association of Educational Researchers and Evaluators of Nigeria (ASSEREN) formerly called NAERE and Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Industrial Administration (NIIA).

            Professor Noah Bisi had held various positions in the Department of Educational Management, University of Ilorin, Ilorin such as Academic Secretary to the Department, undergraduate and postgraduate co-ordinator (both full-time and sandwich). He also held the positions of Faculty of Education Teaching Practice Co-ordinator and President of Amicable Multipurpose Co-operative Ltd, Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Ilorin and Acting and substantive Head of Department severaly.

Professor Noah Bisi had written textbooks for Basic, Secondary and Higher Education in Nigeria.  The books include: (1) Business Studies for Basic Education 1-3 (2) Economics for Senior Secondary Schools1-3 (3) Revision in economics for senior Secondary Schools.  (4) Teaching Methodology for Arts, Social Sciences and a brief on teaching practice.  (5) Management in Education: Principles and Practice.  He also had a number of publications in reputable journals (Local, National and International).

            Between December, 2009 and May, 2011 he was on sabbatical leave at Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State.  He was the foundation Provost of the College of Education for the period he was there.  In that University he established firmly the Departments of Business Education; Kinetic and Health Education; and Early Childhood and Special Education.
